It’s lightweight, hydrating, and doesn’t make the T-zone an oily mess – what more could you ask for?
Youth to the People recently launched the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream and it’s hands-down the perfect moisturizer. It has an incredibly lightweight, whipped, airy texture that sinks into skin instantly. It doesn’t leave your skin sticky, it doesn’t suffocate your pores, it doesn’t pill with your sunscreen or facial oils – it’s perfection. So, what’s in it?
Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream is formulated with adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms: ashwagandha (an herb abundant in antioxidants, iron, and amino acids), rhodiola (an herb that boosts skin strength and fights fatigue), reishi (a mushroom that maintains homeostasis in the body), and holy basil. Added pentapeptide, peptide complex, calms the stress reaction in sensitive and irritated skin. Together, these adaptogens calm the skin when faced with daily stressors like UV rays and pollutants. It’s one thing to have a moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling hydrated, but it’s another thing to have your moisturizer deeply hydrate your skin while fighting environmental damage – it’s badass.
Youth to the People claims this moisturizer is geared more towards dry skin types; however, it’s well-suited for all skin types. My combination skin is in a committed relationship with this moisturizer. It hydrates my dry cheeks without leaving them feeling parched several hours later; it combats oiliness in my T-zone and leaves my skin looking and feeling calm and balanced. I struggle with redness in my cheeks – whether it’s from sensitivity or irritation to acids in unknown – and am always looking for products to soothe my redness. The pentapeptide in the formula does an excellent job at relieving the redness in my cheeks and leaving my skin looking calm and fresh.
I can’t recommend the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream highly enough – I wish I had a lifetime supply of it. You can purchase Youth to the People’s Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream from Sephora (2 oz for $58).
